On a daily basis, each student at The Spencer House Montessori School will be working on everyday life skills such as tying their shoes, washing their hands, cleaning up their work and being courteous to others. They will watch tadpoles grow into frogs and butterflies emerge from their cocoons. We will be studying many countries in depth, learning about the landscape, the animal inhabitants, the people and the culture including clothing, food and traditions. We will be introducing them to reptiles, mammals, properties of water, the seven continents, the solar system, music, and much more! Their natural curiosity will be encouraged, and their learning will be supported in a positive environment. Our goal is not just to teach them what they learn, but teach them how to learn.
